Hi Radix,

thank you for purchasing the AD 480 pro.

Actually your file should play just fine through the reverb in realtime and you should be able to jump through the presets. Please make shure that the mix slider is not at 0 or a very low value and that both in bypass and out bypass are off. On the setup page it is possible to route mixed, dry and wet signal to the available outputs. If you never changed something there you should be fine but please check there also if something is not right.

If the problem still persists please tell me which iDevice you are using, on which iOS version you are and which audio interface you use in case you do use one.

Best,

Thomas

Hi Fishoow,

if you are talking about the red banner on the top of the screen which says that the AD 480 is recording, do not worry about this. When an app has access to the iDevices recording facility, which could be the internal mic or an input of an audio interface, this red banner is shown by iOS in case the app has primary access to the audio system. If the app is in background and no audio is processed it does not use up more resources than any other app in the background. Generally it is recommended to terminate (not just send to background) any app not in use.

So the behaviour is standard for audio recording enabled apps. Nothing to worry.

Cheers

Hi OZet,

In V1.31 i changed one part of the audio engine which is responsable for correct recognition of some i/o configs. Let me check this again.

Is there a reason why you haven't upgraded to the latest version of iOS 7? Perhaps it is related to this...

Have you restarted your iPad to see if the error persists?

Hi OZet,

that is strange. I also have this Interface and everything is working fine. When you start a new project from scratch, does this also happen?

Where does the error 50 appear?

Which version are you using? (Check the about button please.)

What kind of iPad are you using?

Are you using the AD 480 Reverb via Interapp-Audio or via Audiobus with Auria?

Does this noise also appear when using the AD 480 Reverb stand alone?

Cheers

Hi everyone,

great news. With the help of immed8 the bug has been solved.

The cause for the problem was the way the new audio routine received audio data from the system which works for interfaces where the numbers of outputs and inputs are equal. Where this is not the case there was no audio or only under certain circumstances.

After some thorough tests the fix will be submitted these days.

Have a great day.

Does that mean that you receive Audio in the AD 480 from Auria via Audiobus and from Auria directly via interapp audio simultaneously?

Well I never tried this one. :) Since the new Audiobus is based on interapp audio it's SDK is also used for normal interapp audio connections.

Ok, i implemented a fix. The problem here is that i could not reproduce the exact behaviour you both noticed but something similar and most probably related to your problems. I would like you to test the fix on your iDevices if you like and permit, before submitting it to the Appstore.

If one of you (or both) want to help me with this please send me a PM or an email with the UDID of your iDevice. Then i will compile a beta for you to install on your iDevice and check if the problem is gone.

Cheers

Thomas

Thanks for this info, OZet.

In your second post, are you trying to say that you put the AD 480 in Audiobus as well as the Aux FX Slot simultaneously?

Best,

Thomas

Hey Peter,

Thanks for that info.. That helps alot telling me that the problem must be inside the startup routine.

I'll get back  with more later..

Hi Peter,

hm, sounds like a tough one. It appears to me that some audio route change is not done correctly or recognized correctly by the AD 480 Reverb or iOS.

Have you started the AD 480 Reverb already, when connecting the Focusrite or vice versa?

I will have a look at the code this weekend to check if there is something i can figure out here. Alternatively i can offer you a Skype session where we try together some things. I do not recommend reinstalling the whole iPad at this moment.

Cheers

Thomas
